The 2014 WTAC was my first time attending the World Time Attack Challenge. I absolutely was amazed!
The time attack cars came in all shapes & sizes. The modifications were unlike anything I had ever seen before. Aerodynamics is serious business to these guys.
There was an enormous Show n Shine held by The Lowdown. The range of rides was so good, I barely put my camera down.
Walking behind the pits was very cool, I did not expect to be allowed to be so close to the open garages & see the teams in action. Check out this mental MX-5 running a 20B PP.
The Lemans Mazda 767B was a thing of true beauty. It was an honour to see it in the flesh and just something else to hear that 26B scream down the main straight.
Midday Madness takes over the track during the hottest part of the day, providing entertaining in all forms such as the Flying 500, drifting, smoked out rally laps and parade laps.
The flying 500 was awesome to see. The Nitto II R32 is unbelievably quick. Another reason why I want an R32 so much.
There were a lot of firsts for me that day. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
